- Tell (or write to) a friend how much you value having him or her in your life; repeat with others
- Do something nice for someone else just because
- Feel gratitude for the people you love and the people who love you back

If you are a critical reader, and I hope that you are, you are wondering what Valentine’s Day has to do with simplifying. My answer is that as you get rid of stuff, you will be able to focus more on what is important to you and what you want in your life. We all want loving relationships, right?
If you are experiencing a bump in the simplifying journey (as I am, feeling frazzled and distracted by stuff that is not on the This Is What I Want list), use Valentine’s Day as an excuse to pause and make intentional choices.
